The Youth Intervention Center is licensed by the

Pennsylvania Department of Human Services

and abides by their regulations.

 

The Youth Intervention Center is a member of the

Juvenile Detention Centers and Alternative Programs (JDCAP)

and the National Partnership for Juvenile Services (NPJS).

 

 


 

Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA)

 

The Lancaster County Youth Intervention Center underwent an onsite PREA audit on October 27th, 28th, and 29th of 2014. This audit resulted in full compliance in all of the PREA standards, making the Youth Intervention Center the 4th detention center and 9th residential facility to achieve PREA compliance in the Commonwealth.
